Our Story
Alexis Maranan is an immigrant secondary science teacher with a deep passion for teaching and learning coding and robotics. Through years of professional development, hands-on experimentation, and experience across various educational settings, he has gained substantial expertise in the field. Driven by a love for sharing knowledge, Alexis is especially dedicated to inspiring students across the country.
Rez Coding and Robotics was founded by Alexis, a passionate educator and builder whose journey into robotics began in the classroom while teaching in the United States.
What started as a personal interest quickly grew into a thriving career in robotics and AI. Alexis has since designed advanced systems and contributed to innovative technologies. Yet, throughout his journey, he never lost sight of his humble beginnings — a young dreamer with limited tools but unlimited curiosity.
On a return visit to his home community, Alexis saw children trying to learn robotics with scarce resources. The scene mirrored his own early experiences and sparked a new mission: to ensure that every child with a curious mind has access to the tools and opportunities to explore it.
Rez Coding and Robotics was born out of that mission — to empower children, especially those in under-resourced communities, with access to coding, robotics, and real-world STEM experiences. Through interactive lessons, hands-on kits, and mentorship, we go beyond teaching technical skills. We nurture creativity, build confidence, and open doors to a future full of possibility.
